The 17th International Symposium
on Lepton Photon Interactions

CU-SeeMe coverage provided by the
Institute of High Energy Physics
and the
University of Texas at Dallas.

CU-SeeMe is a low bandwidth, internet video conferencing program. It runs on Macintoshes and IBM-PC's (and clones). Of course, you need a sound-capable PC if you are using a PC (all Macs are sound-capable), and you need a high speed (ethernet, ISDN) connection. UNIX users may also connect to a CU-SeeMe reflector using the MBone programs nv and VAT. A CU-SeeMe signal is compatible with the available internet bandwidth from China, however Please refrain from exploring WWW sites in China during the netcast. CU-SeeMe software is made available at no charge by the CU-SeeMe consortium. Note that only MAC and PC users will be able to view high resolution images of transparencies captured in CU-SeeMe's slide window. The netcast of the conference is tape delayed to a time when the rest of the world is likely to be awake and to avoid signal degradation due to daytime traffic on IHEP's 64 kbs internet link. Many thanks to the sites that have volunteered their reflectors to carry this netcast. If you would like to volunteer your UNIX machine as a reflector, please contact Billy Barron billy@utdallas.edu.
