UT Dallas - Human Resources Management

News

Employee Notices

As a member of the UT Dallas community, you are responsible for knowing and complying with the policies applicable to your role in the University. A number of these policies include a requirement that the University provide you with a copy of the policy on an annual basis. Please take a moment to review these policies.

Religious Holidays

Over the next few months, many faiths will observe holy days. Our policy is to accommodate employees’ religious observances to the extent those observances do not create an undue hardship in conducting University business. Employees who wish to observe a religious holiday should schedule their absence in advance with their supervisor. Employees have the option of using paid leave (vacation or comp time are the most commonly used paid leaves eligible for use as a religious holiday), or leave without pay.

Medical Expense Flex Grace Period

You have a grace period through November 15, 2008 during which you may incur expenses against any funds remaining in your 2007-2008 medical expense reimbursement account. You can check your UT FLEX account balance on line. All claims for the plan year ending August 31, 2008, including those incurred during the grace period must be filed no later than November 30, 2008. For more information, visit the UT System Flex Plan page.

The benefit choices you made during annual enrollment in July will show up in the deductions in your late September and early October pay checks. When you get paid, check your on-line paystub and verify the amounts. Semi-monthly paid staff should check your paystubs dated September 19 and October 6. If you are paid monthly, check your paystub dated October 1. If you have questions about your deductions, email us at benefits@utdallas.edu. To check your on-line paystub, sign on to Galaxy and select “View Paystub” from the self-service links on the left side of the screen.
